Ah, the backward bend. One of the most exciting and challenging parts of our yoga practice. Learn how to relax and move your spine as you backward bend during this two hour workshop.
Examine the principles of backward bending with long time teacher, competitor and practitioner, Louise Giordani.
Louise will help you breakdown and rebuild your backward bending postures through simple exercises to support and expand your physical knowledge. This workshop will give you the space to experiment and ask questions without the time restrictions of a regular class.
You will learn to recognize places of spinal mobility and restrictions, maximizing the range of motion in your total spine. Your questions are encouraged, so please be prepared for conversation as well as physical work.
Workshop fee covers the 9 am class beforehand if you would like to warm up before the workshop. The room will not be as warm as class so dress in layers to make sure you are comfortable. Please bring a yoga mat and towel for the workshop.
